Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied (From The Album “A Giant Pinball Going Down The Road”
In 1972
as the war in Vietnam continued to escalate
under President Richard Nixon
a crack commando unit was sent to prison
by a military court for a crime
that by most contemporary accounts
they did not commit
Indeed, the evidence presented in this military court
of injustice
was fabricated out of whole cloth
These men promptly escaped
from a maximum security stockade
to the Los Angeles underground
Today
they remain wanted by the government
hunted by the military police
and the brutal Colonel Decker
and must survive as soldiers of fortune
If you have a problem
if no one else can help
and if you can find them
maybe you can hire these men
But who will help them right the wrongs
of over three decades of wrongful persecution?
These men gave everything they had to this country
and were used as public relations pawns
by cheap government officials in expensive suits.
John Hannibal Smith, B. A. Baracus
Templeton Peck and H. M. Murdock
you will one day receive the justice
that has been denied to you for so long
Your government may have failed you
but in the end
you will be redeemed
by your country and your people
I love it when a plan comes together
